SOUND SYSTEM

The home contains a multi-zone SONOS system that will allow you to enjoy music throughout the home.  In addition, the speakers are ALEXA enabled to provide assistance with daily tasks.  The home contains 5 zones of sound as follows.  

  • Upstairs Master Bedroom
  • Downstairs Master Bedroom
  • Living Room
  • Lounge
  • Back Patio

SONOS will allow you to play music on any zone, any combination of zones, or all zones at once.  In addition, you can play different music on each set of speakers/zone.  To play music on any of the speakers is quite simple and requires one of three methods.

1) APPLE AIR-PLAY:  Make sure your mobile device is on the home's network and then simply start your favorite music on your personal device.  From that device find the AIRPLAY option.  Once you select AIRPLAY all five SONOS ZONEs will appear as options for your music

2) ANDROID PHONE: On an Android device, simply use your music provider (e.g., Pandora, Spotify, etc.) and start the music on the device then either CAST it to the SONOS speakers (Pandora) or look for the DEVICES AVAILABLE button (Spotify) to transfer the music to external speakers

3) SONOS APP: Use the IPAD on the kitchen island/counter.  Activate the SONOS app on the home page.  From there you will have full control of the entire system.  The home comes with a complimentary SPOTIFY (music streaming service) account that provides a massive library of music to select from.  The SONOS app is fairly straightforward.  Go to SONOS.COM if you need any additional guidance.

 

Note:

a) The Living Room and Upstairs Lounge speakers will default to be speakers for the televisions or gaming system unless over-ridden with AIRPLAY or the SONOS APP.

b) All the SONOS speakers are ALEXA voice command enabled.  Occasionally when the speakers are being cleaned the microphone can be disabled.  If the ALEXA functions are not operating check to see if there is a small white light on top of the speaker next to a picture of a microphone.  If not, then press in that area to activate the microphone.
